He has always bothered the heck out of me and was one reason I could not watch "Raising Arizona" all the way through. Then, a few years back, I watched "Vampire's Kiss" on t.v., and suddenly it all made sense. An instant convert. I love Nick Cage, and if you haven't seen "Vampire's Kiss" now's the time. He's such an incredible weirdo.

He has made some of the worst movies ever (Gone in 60 Seconds comes to mind) but these days if a Nick Cage movie is on (minus World Trade Center) I really can't help but watch.

I generally like him, but I haven't been interested in anything he's done recently. Not crap.

Moonstruck and Raising Arizona - not crap.

Other than them, it's the usual Nicholas Cage playing some character who is doing a Nicholas Cage impersonation.

Was in a lot of good movies.

He is still Crap.

He could continue to only make shitty movies and he would still be Not Crap due to Vampire's Kiss.

In fact before I clicked on this and read your post I was thinkinbg the exact thing... funny that you mention this specifically.

I liked The Rock and Peggy Sue Got Married as well.

Raising Arizona was a great movie, but not because of his acting

Con Air is doubleplus awesome.

I can take or leave him in most other things.

i also liked matchstock men, next, , lord of war, and the weatherman were also good. the latter had some unexplainable appeal to me. it was quite subtle, imho. he's not a bad actor but he makes some horrible choices

i agree about him acting the part of him as an actor, or something. he seems to do that a lot.

overall i'll say NC, lots of waffles.
