Hello members of the PRF,

Please come to my Pig Roast on Saturday, October 13th. It's a fundraiser to help fight Ovarian cancer- last year we raised over $4500. Your small donation includes; all the pig, sides, beer, and booze you want. It starts around 2:00PM and runs until the last person leaves. We've expanded into three yards this year so there is plenty of space to move around. Also, we're looking for bands that might want to play. My neighbor is a professional sound guy and builds a pretty remarkable stage and sound system for this event every year-complete with professional lighting. This is usually a pretty fun day.

4814 N Hamilton and 4815 N. Leavitt (we share an alley)
Chicago, IL 60625

Plenty of parking in the adjacent parking lot (enter off Lawrence) and close to the Western and Damen brown line stops.

PM me if you want to play or want more information.

Thanks and I hope you can make it.

Bob

Nice. Consider me there.

What's the suggested donation? Whatever we can afford?

Hello PRF,

For those that are interested, here is a Pig Roast update:

Entertainment:
2-5: DJ Jah Scoob playing both old school and new school reggae (he's my local dry-cleaner and would be offended if he didn't get a chance to play. He'll happily "legalize it" with you- just ask).

5-6ish- Begin By Gathering Supplies (thanks)

7-8ish- Plan B (thanks)

8ish-10- The Blue Line Riders (my neighbor's friend's band)

Also, throughout the day members of Circesteem (http://www.circesteem.org/) will be walking around performing circus acts of some kind. I think the organization takes disadvantaged youth and teaches them circus tricks. This might be creepy.

All proceed will go to the Cancer Research Institute (http://www.cancerresearch.org/).

Please come and donate what you want. You can write a check, pay on-line, bring cash, or pay nothing. No amount too small or large.

All you can eat and drink! Lots of booze and good beer.

Again:
4814 N. Hamilton and 4815 N. Leavitt
Chicago, Il 60625

2:00PM- 2:00AM

Thanks,

Bob

If the Blue Ridge Riders don't kick as much ass as their name would imply I'll be very disappointed

I'm sorry- I mis-wrote their name. Their name is The Blue Line Riders- not the Blue Ridge. Here's their myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/bluelineriders .

This is incredible.

I am assuming/hoping that the League o'Local Children will be in attendance and raising hell. Make it happen, Bob!

The intersection of all of these things:

a good cause, the League, the League's obsessive love for R.F.F., circesteem's hopefully creepy-as-all-get-out tricks*, music ranging from Dry Cleaning Beats to rock, and roasted mammals

    * or we can all teach them some

is burgeoning as legendary, and beer hasn't started making me hyperbolic, yet.

Salut! R.F.F. and his rad neighbors. I wouldn't miss it.
