I've always used .10 - .46, but I'm wondering if I want to go to .11 - .50. I use DR strings. Anyone gone the way of the heavier gauge and never looked back?
Would a switch require me to adjust the truss rod much, or is it subtle enough to not make much of a difference?

personally i went from 10 to 11 and then to 10 again. easier on the fingers. and yes, it may require some truss-rod maintenance - it was required on my telecaster.

.12
My standard gauge for years and years now, and I doubt I'll ever go back to anything lighter. I've used .13s and even .14s (hard to find now) in the past.
I've also used .17-.60 arrangements on some baritone setups way back, but I've stuck to standard tuning as of late.
I used to go for as heay as possible on the bass, too, but I'm content with .45-.105.
GHS came out with a .50-.115 set about 10 years back. I liked the sound and feel a lot, but they broke like crazy, contrary to what one might expect. I guess the tension over the bridge was so heavy that a good hammering with a pick close to the bridge put more strain on them then they could take.

Green Ernie Balls.
Tried the Super Beefy Ernie Ball ones, they were too bassy. How do you keep these thick strings from being so bassy? Or do you not?

13's on all of my guitars I use live. I like the feel and tone. I find that the heaver strings work well with my syle of playing (most would call this a simplistic style).
Some guitars I record with have 10's on them.

They make power chords played on the D sound, well, like power chords.
