Actually, I have to agree that this song is affecting. I don't know why, but I've always liked it.

My last girlfriend used to get really scary and violent when she was drunk. I referred to it as "going to the dark side." She would get furious whenever I mentioned going to the dark side. She would yell, shrilly, Talking about the dark side makes me go to the dark side!! This was true. I learned the hard way after driving her to the dark side twice by warning her, Girl, don't go to the dark side.

A-anyway. This song came on the radio once when I was with her (she was sober) and I started singing along. I got a few lines in before she figured out what the words were (she was too young to remember the song). She got wickid friggin' pissed!
