I'm totally unfamiliar with this band. Anyone recommend them, or are they a "supergroup" like Asia was a supergroup?

It has a flavor.

I listened to a couple samples on All Music.Guide and I have to agree with Brett.
Seemed kind of generic, but it did rock and it did boogie so if run of the mill snot rock is what you're after...

If you're a fan of bluesy, 70s-style heavy rock in the slightest, then you should own the first two Cactus albums. They kick all kinds of bell-bottomed ass. The first one, in particular, is a classic of the period, IMO.

Carmine Appice is a monster of the drums; he was in Vanilla Fudge. He has a hilarious website with lots of rock stories on there... used to, anyway.
