Not crap. My personal favorite. I like Nixon, but Truman, that's a president.

a paranoid anti-semite forced to resign from the country's highest office in disgrace. Nice heroes.

Truman was a quotable chap: "The Marine Corps is the Navy's police force, and as long as I am President that is what it will remain. They have a propaganda machine that is almost equal to Stalin's."
Underrated President.

Thanks anyway, asshat.

Someone ought to make sure there is a poll on this website for each president.
Someone, -not me.
An Eisenhower one would be nice. If I were to make a poll, it would be for Ike.
I like Ike. Though backwards and racist, and a player of the game, I like Ike.
A bit.

see, thats the funny thing. as a kid, we had to do a report on presidents, and everyone wanted to do nixon. as a "crook", he was everyone's favorite. myself included. luckily, i got the short straw when we had to pick who got to do nixon for his president project. so i did the nixon project. as a kid, it was really fun just looking up all these facts about how shady he was. thats why all of us wanted to cover nixon for the project. now that i'm older, i realize that, although its impressive that someone can be such a flagrant criminal while being the US president, it sucks when such an impressive feat is performed for the sake of helping the rich/white/etc establishment.

The wheels were obviously in motion for the bomb well before Truman took office. Dude didn't even know about the thing for the brief time he was VP. That doesn't mean he didn't have a choice, but I wonder if Henry Wallace would have dropped the bomb had he stayed on as FDR's VP. Probably. All the military dudes were telling Truman that the bomb would save the lives of countless American troops.
