Hey...

I know this is a tough question and i have a problem myself to say which is my favorite "guitar" record.

Lets start with Barkmarket´s "L. Ron". I like the guitars on that record very much. I think they sound very unique and heavy and i adore the whole record very much.

I could name lots of other records also, bur this one just came into my mind.

Yeah... pretty tough question. Hard to choose a single record. So here's a couple of albums that I think the guitar work/sound is fucking amazing on!

*Polvo - Exploded Drawing
*My Bloody Valentine - Loveless
*Chavez - Gone Glimmering
*Don Caballero - What Burns Never Returns
*Nirvana - In Utero

Just had to throw that last one in... it fucking came out great!

There are tons of bands that are noteworthy as far as guitar is concerned... so it's really a toss up!

I live in a pretty small town and I don't get to talk to others about music very much (I've never met anyone who's even heard it) but I think that the Heroic Doses record is fucking TIEEEET!

I don't know if it's more the recording quality or the song writing or a superior mixture of both, but Goat by the Jesus Lizard hasn't been dethroned as the best sounding guitar rock record I've ever heard since I first listened to it in 1992.

Yeah... Dewayne Dennison (sp?) is a fucking bad ass! It's like wicked jazz or something... he's genius. The best song ever w/ a slide is on that album! Good choice!

I got that record just about a few weeks ago, and the guitar work is great!

I recognize my main concern to start this thread was to collect some recommendations.

(I wonder if anyone has the guts to name a Shellac record... )
