Weird 1932 movie.

Finally saw this for the first time after hearing about it for years.

Not crap.

I used to have nightmares about the pinheads.

I was disappointed. It's just a love triangle story that happens to have sideshow freaks in it.

I liked it.

I thought the pinheads were cute, I want one as a pet.

You know, Christmas is right around the corner. Somebody please buy me one.

Not Crap.

I read "Spurs" by Tod Robbins in an anthology of horror short stories before seeing the film.

If, like me, you watch Freaks on DVD you may find that the dialogue is difficult to hear.

Of the films that Tod Browning directed my favourite is The Devil-Doll.

Hmmm... must check out The Devil-Doll, then. Looks interesting.

to me the most arresting thing about Freaks would be the inability to make that movie now. impossible.

You got that right! Never would it happen now.

Probably for the best, I imagine it wouldn't have half the charm.
