Ampeg B-15R?

I played one of those b-15 reissues at a music store when they first came out a few years ago. I was not impressed. Especially considering the outrageous amount of money they were going for. If I recall correctly it wasn't even 100 watts. I think that they juiced them up to that after they'd been out for a while.

I did end up buying a pair of the b-100r for less than half of what the b-15r was going for. This was about 2 years ago. They are still going strong and by splitting my signal out of the bass and running both amps I am able to get a nice sound out of them. One on it's own really isn't loud enough for what I do and if I run just one I have to push it too hard and it doesn't sound as good.

They recently rolled out a b-200 and I am curious to hear that. From the little research I've done on it it seems to be a 200 watt version of the ones that I have with all of the same features.
Good Luck,

worst thing to happen to bass cabinets ever.

ampeg has not impressed me with anything in the last decade or two.

they are surviving by name alone. well...that and moving production to viet nam. while keeping the prices the same. weird, cheaper labor, cheaper parts, same fucking price.

fuck ampeg. don't by anything new by them. it is not the same as old ampeg.

I have a solid state B15 (B15T?) flip top it's an 80's model with the schematic screen printed on the top, quite nice tone controls (pull pots for extra control), it has a DI on the back and a limiter. I love the sound of it and it's great for recording... but it's just not loud enough to play places with no PA in a ROCK band, or to be accurate, it is but you have to run it really loud and then it doesn't like it. It's the second one I've had and the third one I've played through, (abbey road has one and a friend who was a tape op there used to borrow it from them when his band gigged). Any idea what it's worth? I got both of mine trading for things or off friends. So what's a good price? Any ideas Ampeg boffs?

I believe the B-15T came with the highly desirable EVM 15L speaker.

I think the B-15R was based on the V-4h.

I have owned a B-15T for years and it does have the EVM 15L.
