In the Lemmy thread I learned that Menudo played with Motorhead on the same bill at First Ave. Bizarre.
Share other wacko bill combos you've attended.
Same day, different admission times don't count, i.e., Doodlebops played 11AM matinee and King Diamond played at 10PM the same day. Fuck it, if there were hundreds of toddlers still hanging around by the time King Diamond went on, that story deserves to be told, I guess.
Any second hand stories about Hendrix opening up for the Monkees are welcome.

3Lemme clarify. First Ave charged two different admissions, but most of us were in for Menudo also, for shits and giggles. Not a 'genuine' double bill, just a gimmick billing in the same afternoon, essentially the same show. There was probably and issue with selling booze and not selling booze, thus the two tickets, though I remember the upper lounge being open for drinks during Menudo...

8UMBC Quadmania in... 1993, I think. 93 or 94. Granted, it was an all-day festival type thing with lots of disparate acts, but the evening came along and the last two acts went on in this order:
Brand Nubian
They Might Be Giants
The crowd underwent an almost complete transformation in between these two. I stayed for both.

9I once saw my friend's band Pullover play with a later rather well-known Swedish act at the Dublin Castle in London.
The line-up was this:
The Cardigans
Pullover
Mighty.

That is fantastic. I also would have stayed for both.
