I've been reading Edvard Radzinsky's biography of Alexander II and I've seen some parallels between his tenure as the Russian tsar and the recent American history.
Upon his appointment as tsar, he "freed" the serfs.
Then there was a period of back-pedaling when he let people like Peter Shuvalov "run" the country.
Then right before he died, he was about to issue some new reforms to give the serfs "more rights".
Then his "dumb" kid went way retro in his governing.
His grandson died at the hands of revolutionaries.
Do we have another revolution on the horizon?
Is A Second American Revolution Imminent?
