I prefer noisier, crazier Unwound, yet I have to say that Leaves Turn Inside You is my favorite Unwound album. I was really torn between Leaves and Repetition.
This isn't necessarily about the best Unwound album...it's more about your favorite Unwound album...if there's a difference...

3Best Album = Challenge For A Civilized Society
Best song = "October All Over" from Leaves Turn Inside...I have been positively obsessed with this song for the last month.
I think that Unwound deserves as much praise as any other band from the 90's...they really do not have a bad record..they are missed.

4One of my favorite bands.
My favorite record of theirs will always be Leaves Turn Inside You, purely for selfish, nostalgic reasons. However "Usual Dosage" is my favorite song of theirs.
Echoing what others have said, Unwound is definitely missed.

6they're one of my favorite bands, probably #2 after Polvo. but I don't have a favorite album. I have a whole bunch of favorite songs, and a small handful of songs I don't like. but I think that, like Polvo, Unwound is best listened to with their entire catalog on shuffle. that, or I could compile a greatest hits album (maybe a double album) which I would then vote for.
I can't pick one album.

I agree with this sentiment.
There's no spot for the Kandy Korn Rituals 7". Boo. I think I've owned more Unwound 7"'s than any other band. I can't recall offhand, but what's the name of the instrumental on that 7"? I think it's "Miserific Condition" maybe? Unbelievably good.
