Metallica have those three completely hilarious documentaries.

To my knowledge I have never heard a Megadeth song.

Ride the Lightning has good tunes, but Mustaine is way more talented. Megadeth

Megadeth had a few great albums: Killing..., Peace Sells..., Rust in Peace...

Then had some truly awful albums until the two most recent outings, which are pretty great. Mustaine is a total fucking cockbag, but he has chops for days.

Metallica had a few greater albums: Kill..., Ride, Master, Justice, and the Black Album. Their shitty records had a few decent moments too. I liked some of Load and Re-load, the S&M thing was pretty cool, and even St. Anger had some dangerously heavy points.

Metallica is an awful running joke at this point, due to the outspoken douchedom of Lars, James, and Kirk. Their carelessness towards their fans is even more pathetic than Dave Mustaine crying about never usurping them.

Still, 'tallica got 'deth beat for having better songs and better albums as a whole, although I really really love both bands.

Metallica never really did it for me, and while Mustaine comes off like an ass in the some of the things I've read, he could single handedly whoop Hammett and Hetfield at a play-off. Besides, Lars takes care of all of Metallica's assery quite more asstastically than Mustaine ever could ass things up.
That, and I always thought the bass sounded better on Megadeth records than on Metallica records.
So, Megadeth.

for the past 13 years, i would have typically answered "megadeth" without question. but honestly, i took a long time off from speed metal and recently got back into it, rebuying all the old stuff and that being said...it's metallica by a longshot.

megadeth only has one really amazing album, Rust In Piece, and EVEN that one has some pretty weak moments. the only reason it is considered amazing is because the great songs (holy wars, take no prisoners) are fucking deadly.

metallica has two really amazing albums (master, justice) and produced some amazing documentaries...and the more i watch SKOM, the more i enjoy them as people. i think they're totally honest in their own demented way.

also, i dont know if mustaine really trumps hetfield. i know he's a much better player than hammet who re-uses alot of the same crap, and listening to "no life till leather" vs. "kill em all" shows a much better solo structure from mustaine...hetfield is a brilliant rythym guitarist as all of AJFA shows...

Megadeth, with fantastic ease. Their first two are much much better than the first two Metallica records, and the songs that they share are better on the Megadeth versions. Also, the Megadeth records are fairly easy on the ears, and the drums sound comparatively normal for a metal records, whereas all of Metallica's output has me reaching for the volume knob to turn it down after a song or two.

How do you mean "more entertaining?"
