Halloween ?

I've only managed to get some cool-sounding kiddie microphones for like, 25 cents. I could have scored plenty of Miami-Vice era threads at this one place I used to go to but, I resisted.

I paid $1 or $2 for it. The flea markets have all but disappeared around here.

My gawwwwwd! I just got that the other day, it was in a pile of old records a pal was giving away and I'd been wanting it for a while w/o stooping to pay for the overpriced one at my nearby record store. The thing is I was Djing the same night and was already going to play Albert Brooks' Love Song into moog Bolero into Switched On Santa-Little Drummer Boy and now I could play a moog Bolero with moaning!!!! It put the soundman on edge as he hadn't been laid in a month!
If you like that album also seek out Sounds Of Love by 101 Strings, it's as good as Astro Sounds yet different, besides the obligatory moaning tracks it has a smooth velvetty DJ voice pontificating poetically on "Yesterday" and "The Sounds Of Silence." And it's a gatefold of an anonymous woman in a slinky dress!

Dude, how come I was not aware of this? That would be something I'd like to see in some promo photos.

I haven't thought about it in years, for some reason I was sitting here and it popped into my head.
I think maybe I'll go get it, see if it still fits.
But promo photos? What are we, The Monkees?
