Hey everybody, look at me! The guy who always has questions, but no answers!
I've got a guitar where the bridge pick up (humbucker) is obscenely close to the bridge.
Can I reverse it in the ring and have the same effect as actually moving the whole pickup away from the bridge?
Are pickups wound in a way where one side is more the "bass" side and one the more "treble" side? <--- seems impossible to me as it's just a magnet, but do pole pieces have a different make-up from one another that effects tone?
WHAT WOULD BE REALLY COOL
I am aware that a humbucker is a dual coil where one is the "dummy" that just cancel the hum. Would it be possible to create a pickup where either side could be the active side or dummy side, where you could toggle it back and forth?

some pickups manufacturers use different magnets for different pole pieces, but generally, they are all the same.
other guys can answer more correctly the other questions..
