well, not me, my brother. He has the opportunity to buy the next mics(all used):

AKG d 1000E - I saw that one ended on ebay for 42$
Sennheiser md21 - didn't see any completed auction on ebay where someone actually bought it.
Audio Technica at9100 - couldn't find anything about this one on ebay.
EV RE15 - same as the above.
2 x AKG c451 with ck1 - These are going for 200 each, no?

a non working EV RE 20.

What? Are you guys rich? (joking)

I probably wouldn't buy the 1000E unless it was super cheap - $42 is all I'd pay, no more.

I've never used the Sennheiser or the AT mic -

The RE-15 I might pay $75 for.

The broken RE I'd pay $75 for unless you know it's something easy to fix.

The price on the 451's is good. I would pay $200 each if they were in good condition.

£20 - £30?
Sennheiser md21 - didn't see any completed auction on ebay where someone actually bought it.

£30 - £40? I have one or two. Keep in mind they are omni, but do have a reasonably flat/wide response.
2 x AKG c451 with ck1 - These are going for 200 each, no?

Seems reasonable assuming they are working well.

Shit, that'll be the one I have at work! Let me make sure it's definitely dead first...

Pay no more than a kick in the balls.
Sennheiser md21 - didn't see any completed auction on ebay where someone actually bought it.

If you mean md421, they're usually worth between $200 - $300 depending on condition.
Audio Technica at9100 - couldn't find anything about this one on ebay.

I know nothing about this mic. If you can find a current list price new, then <75 percent of that price is a decent yardstick. AT mics are generally decent quality, both in sound and reliability, so an unknown AT mic is not as much of a gamble.
EV RE15 - same as the above.

These are nothing special, but they are a useful dynamic mic worth $100-$200 depending on condition. Some people swear by them on piano and percussion, and I've heard excellent recordings made with just a couple of them, but when I've used them I've never been particularly knocked out.
2 x AKG c451 with ck1 - These are going for 200 each, no?

If they are actual (not reissue) 451s, $200 is a fair price. If they are the "reissue" 451, then they're worth a kick in the balls or less. Maybe a sharp stick poked in the balls. If the capsule is removable, it's the real deal.[/quote]

$250, minus repair cost and shipping. A working mic is worth more than $250, but you want a little something for the pain in the ass of fixing it.

MD 21 on ebay. you can find those easy on ebay germany. I would not spend more than 60 bucks on one of these. I would rather save the money and buy a 421 or a 403.

You can get the MD21 made by other brands (Grundig and Labor W, I think). I agree that you shouldn't spend too much on it, although they are interesting. I wouldn't say it was similar to the MD421 which is a great mic.

The 403 has the same capsule as the MD409 which people seem to go on about. I have a couple, but I don't think I quite "got" what they were so excited about.

I have two 403 and paid 70$ for each. I think they sound pretty good on guitar cabs. but I agree that 200$ or what ever some ebay sellers want for them now is too much.
