one day in the late 20th century a friend and i were driving to Mpls.
she had a copy of Just Fred and i was stunned by the lunacy.
i remember staring at the cover and seeing your name on the back.

yeah, this album

please oh please if you could tell me anything of note that happened during the recording or in the following years that relates to this album, well i would love to hear it.

what kind of recording chain did you run Just Fred threw for example.

who approached you with the project.

did you ever get paid.

what does fred eat.

that sort of thing.

I actually know Fred from having worked with the B's, and he's wicked smart. He has a degree in Journalism and nearly finished a degree in Forestry at the University of Georgia.

He has an encyclopedic knowledge of rock and roll history, and he eats what most aging rock stars eat- lots of high end vegetarian stuff and salads.

That doesn't change the fact that I am going to hell for wishing this record was called "Gay Panic."

I saw this tour twice, and I had a blast.

This record is quite good.

As if you needed to be convinced that a record with Rick Sims on it is good enough to give a shot to...RICK SIMS, DAMMIT.

Great record. Love that Shadowy Men and Six Finger Satellite appear on it.

BadComrade wrote:Forum member scary bodega (aka Chris Fuller from the band Dis) played 2nd guitar on the tour. He's in the video, too (playing the chrome Telecaster).

I also saw them play twice on tour. Both shows were fun.

And just so he doesn't feel left out, the incredibly sweet Tom Zaluckyj on aluminum bass!

Thanks for the link to that video, you made my morning.

judging from the video alone it sounds like that song was written about 5 years too late. i mean, it's OK, sort of, but nothing to freak out about. it actually kinda depressed me.

his haircut, on the other hand, probably should have had it's own record deal.
