Our recording computer at work grew legs and walked away.
Has anyone purchased a white and gray Dell Laptop with a City Of Chicago asset tag form a snappy young street salesman of late?
Now I have to record and edit CDs on an Alesis Masterlink.
It has All kinds of AIDS! It was obsolete the day it left the shelves and It has a tiny 4 Gb HD. I got so spoiled by Cd Archetect and now when I have to edit something it is like mowing a football field with a sythe.
Here is the Question
What will happen If I try to install a larger drive in this thing? I haven't found anything conclusive on the web.
Alesis doesn't seem to do much support of these things as far as firmware or software updates
Fucking masterlink.
2I'm sorry I can't give you any useful advice.
But I can back you up as far as hating Alesis goes. I never understood the point of the masterlink. And used to work there.

Fucking masterlink.
3you can instal a bigger drive, at least i did on mine, but the software only will recognize like 32 gigs... you will need to re-install the operating system.
