Seems a bit tough to find replacement 32 ohm 10" Speakers for SVT cabs(newer). I admit that the build quality is shit, and it is USA made. I am also not surprised that the 10" was blown, maybe has been for a show or two. I'm running 200 tube watts pretty distorted and turned up. I am not impressed with eminence these days either, I wish EV made a 32ohm 10".....I ended up getting a 10" from fliptops.com rated at 100 watts rms/32 ohms-$58.....There are also Jensen mod 50's, but those are rated at 50 watts...ideas?

Please somebody knowledgeable answer. I may have the same problem. Are all the new ampeg 4x10's 32 0hm speakers. I might have a blown one as well. What about JBL?

ask ted weber, he has these alnico ones rated at 45 watts:

but I bet he could build you some higher powered ceramic ones at 32 ohms, but it'd take a while and might be a bit more expensive.

Eminence makes a lot of different stuff, including the speakers in that SVT. I've got an ampeg 4x10, pretty much garbage. I was hoping to pull it apart and make a 4 ohm 2x10 for playing quiet, until I found that it had 32 rather than 8 ohm speakers in it. Seems like neither EV nor JBL are real interested in musical instrument speakers anymore. Maybe Celestion?

I've got 2 Webers in my 8x10. They absolutely rock. Mine have a blue basket though. They make the other 6 sound like Craig or Sparkomatic 6x9 car speakers.

I finally got the Electro-Harmonix 100 watt 10" in the mail, but I bought one of the Jensen Mod50 locally to load into the cab until the real one arrived. Amazingly the jensen did not self destruct. I was running 200 tube watts, overdriven and pretty cranked and there was no farting/breakup. I put the 100 watter in yesterday and it def. added some low freq. to the mix. I'm gonna keep the jensen as a back-up, so anyone who is in need of a cheap and quick fix this seemed to work. If it can withstand the abuse I put it through, then it could't be all that bad.

hmmm... i have three jensen vintage mod 50 watts in my 8x10. the rest are definitely 100 watt speakers. i noticed when i went to replace them and realized how much heavier the ones i were taking out were than the ones i was putting in. haven't blown anything up yet, though i'm sure it's not an ideal setup.
