Both of these bands were from Chapel Hill.
Both released four full-length albums and some EPs.
Both were around for a similar amount of time.
Both had cool guitar parts.
Both seem to be enjoyed by the majority of the PRF.
Seems like a decent E/O.

Based on the video evidence available online, Archers were the far better live band. I never saw either one live though.
Based on the records, Archers by a landslide.

Where's a good place to start with Polvo? I want to vote for my beloved Archers in this Thunderdome, but it would not be fair because, to be honest, i've never heard a single note of Polvo, to my knowledge. Considering the apparent similarities between the two bands, i suppose i should get on that. Help me out, yo!

Deej, start with the two ep's on Merge,
Celebrate the New Dark Age and
This Eclipse, which is arguably the band at the peak of their powers.
Today's Active Lifestyles is the fan favourite.

Oh, fuuuuuuck.
Vee Vee is a masterpiece, but it's the only AoL that I have aside from Icky Mettle.
I have most of Polvo's stuff, and enjoy it very muchly. Cor-Crane Secret, Today's Active Lifestyles, Celebrate the New Dark Age are awesome. Exploded Drawing is inconsistent but has plenty of good moments, and I haven't listened to the entirety of Shapes yet.
Out of this, I would vote Polvo, but I would be unfair to Bachmann and co.

I know you love Archers, but I thought you'd take Polvo for sure. You and Scott. Come to think of it, you guys are the only two that I thought would definitely take Polvo. I guess that makes this a bad either/or.
