Did anyone else have Comcast problems?

I came home around noon, and opened firefox, and every page I tried to open kept coming up as a Comcast one, with an installer. I installed some crap of theirs (seems to be some "desktop doctor") and had a nice, long talk with one of their reps. I had to use IE to access their site, and now everything seems to be back to normal. Firefox is alright, too.
Were they dicking me around, or has this happened to anyone here?

Comcast are retards. I haven't had your specific problem...but they suck.
Signed up for internets last month. Called 'em, gave 'em my info went through the whole deal. Weeks go by with no installation package. I call them up.
"The person who took your order didn't submit it correctly so it was erased."
"Was anyone going to contact me to redo the order process?"
"...no"
Thanks for letting me know...retards.

Wow. They sound almost as bad as New York Time Warner.
Just typing their name pisses me off.

The only problem I have with comcast is their sub par selection of movies on in demand as of late.
Howard the duck has been on there for 3 months now. Teen Wolf 2...not even Teen Wolf 1, only 2.
Come on, gimmie something here.

Haha, the page that kept opening, no matter what url I typed in, was a 'terms of service' agreement. I had to click "accept" to go to the next screen, but I couldn't. After talking with the rep for awhile, he said firefox is not supported by comcast. Son of a bitch.

Don't talk to me about appreciation, I watched about half of 'Turner and Hooch' the other day and also all three Smokey and the Bandits in one night.
Well, about 15 minutes of 3...it's really bad.
The best random thing they had on there in recent weeks was Monkey Shines, awesome movie.
Straw Dogs is on there right now, got my eye on that one for tonight.

That usually means that Comcast has a problem with your account and it's blocking access to the net until you call them. Basically the "set up Comcast" page comes up regardless of what website you go to. You'll typically see that when your service hasn't been paid, you try to install a new cable modem from Best Buy without calling them, etc.
It has nothing to do with an "unsupported" Firefox, typical customer service idiocy. They hijack the DNS on your cable modem until things get squared away...

Man, don't get me started on how much I fucking hate Comcast. I talked to a total of maybe 4 people throughout the entire process of getting a second cable box for my bedroom, and I think I was quoted 7 different prices from free on up to $10/mo...for the same, basic, regular (no dvr/hd) cable box. It's not expensive or anything, but jesus, how difficult can ONE SIMPLE QUESTION be to answer?
Also, when I signed up for high speed internet, the first modem they gave me (which I had to go pick up at their office, and could not have shipped to me) was full of cockroaches.
Yup. Cockroaches.
