ok, I searched a bit but found nothing. I'm flying into Chicago from Jersey in a couple of weeks to play a week of shows with a friend's band. I was thinking of bringing an amp on the plane, but I do not have a flight case. So, I was wondering if anyone knew of a place in Chicago where I could rent a decent twin (nothing fancy) for a week.

I like to unrecommend MidTown instrument rental for this purpose. I rented a Twin there a few weeks ago and the power transformer fell out when i was transporting it to a practice space. Something has to really be wrong for a transformer to fall out; they either don't maintain their amps worth a crap or people beat the hell out of them (which would be fine in they maintained them better). Either way, it's unacceptable and I'd try a place like Andys.
