Eraserhead just screened here with the new 35mm print, and it looks great.
The movie, it's still pretty good. It definitely has elements that Lynch would use later on--perhaps a little too much.
One thing that frustrates me about Lynch though is his fascination with the grotesque. He's like the kid in school that picks a scab and wants to show everyone the pus.
I feel like (save for The Straight Story and Mulholland Drive), Lynch still hasn't learned how to play with his strengths as a director.
Eraserhead, though, is NOT CRAP.

2I wouldn't vote Not Crap for anything that Lynch ever did, except maybe The Elephant Man.

3My all-time favorite film, without a doubt.
I'd love to see a new print of it in an actual theater.
If you vote crap then fuck you.

5When I first saw Eraserhead, at a midnight screening with Freaks, I first thought it was awful, and very disturbing. A week later, I realized it was brilliant, and very disturbing.

7I'll defend anything Lynch and Eraserhead is my favorite of the bunch.

9Eraserhead is genius. Such a great film. Wholly unique at the time it was made.
Saw it at a midnight showing back about '81 and was dumbfounded. I had gone to a toga party, of all things, and in the midst of that bullshit decided to go with a friend to see this movie I had heard tell of but never seen. Dumbfounded.
My favorite is The Elephant Man, which is a truly great story and film.

10Have seen the movie twice. It's an unique visual/audio experience though I don't get the point of the movie. I have pasted an excerpt off wikipedia. Not going to vote on this one.

Interpretation:
In an interview on the cleaned and remastered edition of the film (2006), Lynch said he has yet to read an interpretation of the film that is the same as his own.
