The Fall's second album, and where the real Fall probably begins.

Pros: Ridiculously catchy songs, Mark's vocals
Cons: Some really sloppy performances (even for these guys), horrid production

I go with a NC myself.

Production sucks but I like the sloppiness. Great batch of songs. "Spectre vs Rector", "Psykick Dancehall" and "Muzorewi's Daughter" are as good as anything they've done. I like "Witch Trials" too but "Dragnet" has Craig Scanlon who would've killed on LATWT.

'Live at the Witch Trials' is one of my favourites.

I should explain - I loved "Live at the Witch Trials" so much that I was pretty disappointed when I first heard "Dragnet." It was a different band, really. But I eventually started to get into it after hearing "Grotesque." and that kind of sound is what really characterized the Fall for most people.

Embarrassing confession: I have owned this album for years and have not actually listened to it enough to call C/NC. This will be corrected.
