THUNDER. FUCKING. DOME.: AC-DC VS. RAMONES

AC/DC are fucking geniuses and if you can't realize that then you are absolutely piss-brained, shit-fouled morons who probably jack off to Animal Collective.

That said, Ramones.

I can't vote against the Ramones' first album.
Life...life...I know it's got its ups and downs.

Ramones.

The worlds of these two bands are starting to overlap more these days, though they are still a bit apart. Go to any sporting event in the U.S. and you are as likely to hear Blitzkrieg Bop as you are Thunderstruck or Hell's Bells or whatever.

Australia has a better ratio of good to shit bands than New York does. I understand the "importance" of the Ramones but I don't want to listen to them. I always found them commercial jingleish.

From the Wikipedia:

"Bands such as Screeching Weasel, The Vindictives, The Queers, The Mr. T Experience and the Beatnik Termites have all recorded covers of entire Ramones albums; including Ramones, Leave Home, Rocket to Russia, Road to Ruin, and Pleasant Dreams, respectively. Many more tribute albums followed, We're a Happy Family being the most well-known, with artists such as Green Day, Kiss, Metallica, The Offspring, Red Hot Chili Peppers, U2, and Rob Zombie. Green Day members have gone as far as naming their children in honor of the band. Billie Joe Armstrong named his son Joey as tribute to Joey Ramone."

See what happens? I'll be the doucebag who says it. Not a fan. AC/DC on the other hand...
