Just watched disc one of Planet Earth today. Kick. Ass.
I don't think I watch enough documentaries. I need to get Grizzly Man back off my mate.

2I caught Radiant City on cable recently. Sort of a documentary. I won't give anything away. Neat concept.

3"The Freshest Kids" is a great documentary on early Hip-Hop and B-Boy culture.
"Helvetica" is pretty interesting as well, even for the non-designer. It's the history of a typeface. Sound boring, but I assure you it is not.
Both can be found on Netflix.

5The one about the mole people (living in the ny subway tunnels). Dark days? something like that.
The one that is the best due to its being the worst, karate kid documentary.

my wife was obsessed with caglar ("non-violent taekwondo troopers") for a while after seeing that one. she corresponded with him via email. he's a very strange cat.

8I should watch more documentaries as well. Some stuff I've liked:
Metal : A Headbanger's Journey
When We Were Kings
Straight No Chaser
I also like some of the stuff you see on PBS shows like Nova or Horizons. Not too long ago I stumbled across an episode of Nova on the making of samurai swords which was great.

9I saw a great documentary about the first person to market a genetically engineered variety of corn called Hybrid. Is very hard to find but is really good. I second Helvetica. I thought it would be lame but it is very interesting. Also the '80s connections series is great and you can get it for free at the CPL.
