Used to think Rollins was awesome, until we corresponded by mail.

The Rollins Band albums I really liked, I still like though. The last decent one was Turned On, and The End Of Silence had some OK parts but is not so hot.

I grew up in a small pissant town with only MTV and radio feeding me music. I liked metal--still do, but as I played cello I appreciated virtuosity, so I was into the wheedly-deedly crap. Read Guitar World magazine and actually paid money for Joe Satriani and Steve Vai tapes. I always knew even in the back of my mind that there was better stuff out there, though.

Rollins will read and respond to anyone's letter, it's no big deal.

not that. what was less than awesome about his email prowess that made you hear his music as less than awesome.

I really loved Green Day in high school and still think Kerplunk is a solid pop record although I have no desire to hear it. Then they blew up which made Dookie a harder record to enjoy, although I stuck with it and even bought the next record. As I outgrew that type of music the band that really epitomized it went right down the tubes.

I was in high school during the alternative one-hit-wonder boom and bought or liked a lot of other crap, but almost immediately realized I was a sucker upon listening to the whole album.

Firehouse. Trixter. Danger Danger. Winger.

In fact, the first time i ever made out with a girl was about 10 rows of people from the front of the stage where Trixter was playing their power ballad at Green Bay's Brown County Arena. It was a special time.
