T.V. Show - Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles

The truncated season just wrapped up this past Monday. The dialogue can be kind of stilted but Summer Glau is pretty rad, and Dr. Venture (James Urbaniak) shows up in the final two episodes. I like everything about this show except what should be the most important aspect of it: the mother-son relationship, it doesn't help that they use mascara and lip gloss on a man who is supposed to the be future leader of mankind.

Episodes can be watched at the official site.

I watched the whole season, and sometimes I think I like it, sometimes it seems pretty embarrassing. He's totally emo John Connor. I wanted to choke him when he was all pouty because his mom forgot his birthday. I'm a big fan of the movies, even the third one, so I was lured into this series. There ain't much better on network t.v. right now, but that's just barely a good enough excuse for me to keep watching this show.

T.V. Show - Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles

There are a lot of great things about the show. How Cromartie had to reassemble himself, find his head, find some skin, then get a surgeon to reconstruct his face??? That was AWESOME. There were a lot of imaginative things in this show.

That futuristic stuff they found in the bank vault, all made out of odds and ends from whatever parts they could find in the 60s. That was cool as hell.

I definitely think John is falling for Cameron. If she's an "advanced infiltration unit" she can probably pass for human in the sack. (Awesome.)

It's good for a TV show. Sure, the dialogue is horrible and stilted but that's to be expected. ("How do you tell an 8 year-old the world is ending?" "You don't.") There are a lot of very cool things about the show.

And it's about Terminators! I love Terminators.

Sadly, I don't think it will be renewed for another season.
