Does any one know where I can find the computer voice (if it is a computer voice) that introduces Shellac's 1000 Hurts? Thanks.

there's a thread. it's not a computer voice it's a guy who does the voice for reference tones to do something with tape machines or some shit.

obviously, i'm not here for the recording nerdery.

Yeah, I heard that too and I immediately thought. "hmm, that's a load of bullshit". I know this because Steve has a strict no-coitus -in-the-studio policy. I know that because I personally put the moves on Todd in the studio and that's what he told me.

Wait a minute...I heard that it was Carol Decker from T'Pau and that Steve was tapping that at the time.

I have never worked at a music store. If you're wondering why i remember T'Pau off the top of my head, it's because to this day i still think "Heart and Soul" is a little bit of a jam. *shame face*
