I seem to remember someone calling him out and being incredibly rude to him, saying 'your band sucks' over and over again - then he stopped posting?
Am I imagining this?
John from the Paper Chase posts here from time to time. I don't remember anyone being rude to him, but I can't say it didn't happen... but since he posts every once in a while I don't think he left, I just think he is a really busy guy...

Congleton still pops up in the Tech room here and there, i think. If there was a "you suck" flame war it was before my time, or i totally missed it.

Guilty. I am no fan and said it rather poorly when it didn't need to be said anyway. Someone had done it before so I didn't think it would be a big deal. I think its really cool that they're getting recognition outside of our towns. I believe he posted very infrequently to begin with, but the rate has dropped.

They even played in Poland, but I was busy with work and couldn't go. My friend said they were great.

hey everyone. the one time chris decide to get on here and make a jackass out of himself had absolutely nothing to do with my frequency. as much as i love electrical, love working there and have a great relationship with steve and greg...i just dont really have the overwhelming interest in posting on message boards of any kind. from time to time i will but for the most part just not something i really think to do.
i think its valuable to note that chris has an enormous reputation for being a real barnburner and in general a really sad little man in the dallas/denton scene. he seems really interested in talking shit on me and a lot of people i think have great things to offer. the amusing part is i couldn't pick him or his music out of a lineup. hate to be rude but thats how insignificant he and his contributions are to me. i could be standing next to him right now and would never know. i cant even say how i feel about his music because it has made no impression on me whatsoever but he certainly seems like he wants to research mine.
chris why dont you have more to do? might i suggest charity work? a part time job???

Wanted to mention that the linked thread is not me, though I know and think nothing bad of the other Chris. I'm guilty of one in the thread about what I think is the most recent record, which I probably shouldn't have posted.

the Hifi opened the Chicago Paperchase show, they were great, they opened with 2 new songs, that were the most epic stuff I have heard them ever play, I loved it, even if you do not like this band you have respect that they are a precise machine of a live band. Not a note was misplaced...
