I've been shite of recent with regard to seeing bands, but one local London band/person I like is Cibelle.
Recommend a good band in your town we can see for a couple of quid/bucks/euros/pesos/reais/shekels etc.

I meant to see you. I felt especially bad for missing because you had a Birdhouse show. Girlfriend gave me the whole "you have seen Woman a thousand times. Who is more important, internet friends or girlfriends?" thing.
