They just played the whole record on the radio, I am not shitting you but it's pretty good.
It's all Tom Waits covers, real spaced out modern shoegaze type stuff.
I enjoyed it more than a lot of the records I have heard real bands make lately.

Makes perfect sense, I knew when I heard it that the TV on the radio dude must have had something to do with it.
What did David Bowie do? I didn't hear any Bowie.

I think he wrote some songs. Don't know for sure. Just know he did something on it.

I could only find a single on iTunes so far, but haven't really checked. She's got an ear like Niko and a voice just as manly. I mean that in the best way, though.
Also, I totally hear Bowie singing backup on this song.

The name of the album and the cover make it look like she's a clone of Sarah McLachlan. I am now afraid to actually listen to the album.

Also, Pitchfork approved, already (just for you!):

Pitchfork wrote:It's here! The album we've been waiting for, breathlessly, all this time. Yes, I'm talking about Scarlett Johansson's Anywhere I Lay My Head, due out May 20 on Atco. And wait-what's this? It's not just ten Tom Waits covers? There's also an original track? Oh man!
Update: Apparently Stars Like Fleas drummer Ryan Sawyer also appears on the album.
As previously reported, ScarJo collaborated with TV on the Radio's David Sitek, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' Nick Zinner, and Celebration's Sean Antanaitis on the album.
Album of the year, baby.
