This seems to indicate the phase inverter is a 12AT7/ECC81.

always wanted the little 1X12 ant. wound up with a 30watt 2X12 ant with permanent mains hum. have been told a new transformer will cure this. does this sound like a realistic possibilty?

Sorry I couldn't reply to your message sooner, I've been swamped with work for the last few days.

Popped mine open and what it's got is:

6V6GT x 2 in the power
5Y3GT rectifier
ECC83
Un-numbered Mullard:









Another tube with the number scrubbed off:

One of those is the driver for the reverb, but I'm not sure which is which. Maybe someone can figure the number out from the photos?
