so a good friend caught this band - in my opinion, maybe America's best rock band - in Atlanta many months ago, and they had picked up Todd Cook on bass and were amidst recording. since then, i have heard nothing, and, considering the luck i had with my earlier crain inquiry, thought i'd put some feelers out to see if anybody knew, y'know, "the score."

I spoke to Jeff about month or so ago when they (he lives here, the rest of them are in Louisville) were in town (chicago) recording over at Soma. They're getting their record done.

yes, of course. i think we responded at pretty much the same time.

It is interesting to see that someone is bold enough to come to this board and broadly categorize people as "losers" because they play angular music.

i dunno if i'd go so far as to say bold. with statements like his, i can only give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he's a troll who's out for a good time saying stupid shit to get people all riled up and get an argument going. trolling. i know the key is don't feed the trolls, here or anywhere else, but that just seemed like some fun bait to take. yeah, if you don't like angular music, why on earth talk about that *here*? to get an argument going, that's all i can think. so i figured, what the hell, let's see what he has to say about what does or doesn't make a loser.
