I knew nothing about this musician, until I heard she was on tour with Shellac right now. After sampling the songs on the myspace page, consider me a fan. This lady does some impressive guitar playing. Someone point me in the direction on how to purchase a record.

The thing I know best about her is that she's fricken sweet as a peach and also German as hell, all at the same time. She's more or less the definition of "badass". Do a search for how many chicks I've referred to as "badass". I'm guessing she's one of the first, if not the.
Unfortunately I have yet to see her live. If I had to put money on it, I'd betcha it's fucking badass.
Fan, right here.
Best quote from her last time in Chicago?
"Yes, we do this".
Did I mention badass?

Saw her live. She was good. Can't imagine that I'd want to listen to Allroh on record all by her lonesome, but it was still pretty cool.
She just kinda slides all over the fretboard and then does some quasi-singin'.
I vote Not Crap for sure, though.

This is how I understand "truly moving art".
The EP I bought at Shellac gig is on repeat since I came back home. It's asStunning piece of music. Live she is as intense as you'd imagine, there is no possible way you can look away from her. I hope I will see her again soon so I will fully comprehend her performance, as I had a weird feeling of witnessing something rare and very unusual when I saw herl... I can't really find right words. As I wrote in the other thread, there is no excuse for missing her performance on the current tour.
NOT CRAP.
edit: hahah "asstuning"? I think that might be the tuning Korn uses. I probably I meant "an astounding" or "a stunning piece of music".

The songs on MySpaz are not pleasing to my ears - are they pretty much typical of her stuff?

Saw her open for Shellac at the December Hideout show. Was not as blown away as everyone else, but enjoyed it all the same. The quieter moments were more appealing to me.
Not Crap.

She was one half of Wuhling, world famous German rock duo (see the Touch and Go catalogue).
I gave Wuhling several chances. So I did with Allroh. This music does not have any appeal to me. Just making noises with a guitar (nothing else) and singing with a style that I would call "chicken turd" is nothing I want to waste my time on listening to. If I want to know what it sounds like scratching on guitar strings with a goose feather, I´ll take a goose feather and scratch the strings of my guitar. I´m pretty sure I will not do this for more than 30 seconds. Allroh does.
Anyone who has seen her supporting Shellac: it´s cool that you gave her a chance. That you kept quiet when she performed. That you were respectful. But there is no need to search until you find something in this music just because she was supporting a really cool band.
I know you will chop me to pieces, but this is not better than CocoRosie. The only difference is that Steve likes Allroh and dislikes CocoRosie.
I hate both.
100% not crap? Sorry folks, but I have to change that forever...

she was mesmerizing live. That was enough.
