This is a generic thread for anyone who wants to talk about baseball.
Tampa Bay (Devil) Rays are in first in the AL East at the moment.
George Sherrill of the Orioles has 14 saves already.

Last night Sherrill of your Orioles made getting five outs against the Red Sox look like eating Jello from a plastic cup with a spoon.
Not feeling pity for the (Devil) Rays in May is new. Though I'm from Boston (hence a Red Sox fan) I've always rooted for the DRays to do well.

I'm hoping Claudio Vargas will do well in his Mets debut against the Nats tonight, 11-6 with an 5.06 ERA with the Brewers last season is not bad... Mets starting pitching needs work. I miss Pedro Martinez.

This is what, Vargas' 5th team in as many months?

Heh, that's not too much of an exaggeration, but Milwaukee let him go earlier this year because he started to suck, then on to mets triple a and I think that was all up until now, I could be missing something though. He's not a long term fix for this team or anything, but as a mets fan I can only hope he pitches a few good starts at least.

43 consecutive scoreless innings for Cleveland's starters. 0.19 ERA in their last 5 combined starts with two complete game shutouts and 9-inning shutout no-decision. That's all I got.

I am impressed with
Dan Cab's pitching this year.
I think it has a lot to with pitching coach Rick Kranitz.
Instead of getting his pitchers to work on fancy crap like Mazzone's "low and away", he has them throw what they're good at.
Has Cabrera even thrown anything but his fastball this season?
