I think it's officially time for Lincoln Park and Wicker Park to just go by one name.

There's a new venue near the Twisted Spoke by the same dude who owns Delilahs. Apparently, Mudhoney is playing there. Yet, I can't find any information on this. Does anyone know the name of this venue and when it opens? It's almost like getting a trade off here.

Good. I hated that fucking place. I don't mind one less venue in Chicago if that venue is The Note.

If and when Subterranean shuts down, I'll shed a few tears, though.

I can tolerate Subterranean, but it's not my favorite place to see a show.

Sorry to hear about The Note, though. I used to drink there back when it was on Armitage. For the first few years after it opened on Milwaukee, it pretty much catered to the Lincoln Park douchebag crowd.

I've seen some good shows there more recently. Sucks that it's going to change again, probably for the worse.

Things I like better about Sub-t:

-much cheaper drinks
-seem to have better shows
-better place to play
-no obnoxious afterhours dance party sharing the same space
-sound guys always seemed like nice guys, and did a good job

The drinks were way too expensive and the place had no personality.
