Whatever happened to all the Straight-Edgers you once knew ?

The ones I knew back in the early-nineties are now either raving alcoholics, drug-users, weird-sex fiends or treat women like shit. And sometimes all of the above. The only one of them that's still clean gives firearm-safety courses out of his apartment since he couldn't become a cop like he'd planned.

How about the ones you knew ?

He has a kid that he lost custody of.

He's probably a born-again christian too. He was one of the dumbest motherfuckers I've ever met, but he was dating a close lady friend in high school.

I think there's already a pattern emerging here...

In my school, there were more Krishnacore kids than Straightedge. Not sure why.

You mean that they were Krishnas who were into hardcore ? I remember those ones too, now that you mention it. That particular drummer gave up music and the outside world pretty much all together for the Brotherhood (or whatever fuck it is).

Hardcore kids that turned to Krishna. Once the guys from the Cro-Mags (Harley) and Ray from Youth Of Today got into Krishna, an army of kids followed them.

It was sort of bizarre. Then again, New York in the 80's was pretty bizarre.
I make music/I also make pretty pictures
