They used to have this thing were subcultures were somewhat dangerous. It was my first introduction. Early 90s. Lisa Suckdog punched me in the face. Royal Trux were taking on the the realities of time and space. And there was this band Buzzov*en. I went to go see them at the hour house on my 16th birthday. The figurehead started the set by smashing a bottle on his head. Once there was a sufficient spectacle in blood he started throwing m-80s. I saw this thing in the NY Times magazine last year about some band sun)))o. Who are they? It sure read like well drinks..... n/c

Wasn't there already a C/NC Poll on Buzzoven? (paging Kerble...) Anyways I got to see them play in Lexington (KY) back in 96. It was an interesting night to say the least. I didn't realize it, but my speedometer was broken, and the needle was bouncing around at 70 mph, when I was actually driving around 90 mph. Needless to say, I ended up getting pulled over. We were pretty scared, as there was a carload of us, and everyone was baked, and one friend had a bag of weed on him at the time. We ended up getting extremely lucky and were let off with just a warning (the car wasn't searched, thankfully). That cop must have known we were high at the time, although I guess I was covering it as best I could, I guess he must have been in a good mood at the time, or already filled his quota. So after that shakeup, we proceeded to the show without further incident. Buzzoven slayed (I think Sour Vein played as well, but that may have been a different show). Afterwards we all went to a party at a friend's apartment (after most of the shows there, everybody would collect/pool money and get a keg or two of cheap beer, usually the Beast (Milwaukee's Best). So we all got to hang out at the party with the dudes from Buzzoven and lots of friends, we ended up with the bright idea to throw any empty beer bottles against one wall and smash them, with at least four people hurling bottles at the wall (later that night we ended up having to sleep on the floor which was now covered in shards of broken glass). From what I remember about that night, at least one member of Buzzoven ended up in the hospital (I think from an overdose). Anyways, that's my Buzzoven story.

when you slag and don't pronounce its really just a hedge.....you obviously want my attention, yet fail to answer the obligatory "why?"... or present an argument to validate your accusation of "idiot". What can I say? Shellac is sweet......

The LS story is real. She
actually punched me in the face. Stark naked. To this day, only human who has swung on me and got a pass......its a discussion for another time, but what happened to the element of danger in music? Why have we all settled on this animal collective? Is the internet to blame? What's the point of a poll? Look at the threads on this forum.... almost none are even close. Why perpetuate a cult?

Who wants danger? You might get hurt!
110th wrote:Why have we all settled on this animal collective?
Not a big fan.
110th wrote: Is the internet to blame?
Probably, but it has free porn, so I'll look somewhere else to lay the blame.
110th wrote: What's the point of a poll?
You posted this is the C/NC forum, that's what goes on here, polls.
110th wrote: Look at the threads on this forum.... almost none are even close.
Have you voted in the JL/Fugazi thread yet?
110th wrote: Why perpetuate a cult?
Because everyone needs something to believe in. We believe in polls for C/NC topics.
