I had one installed as to shield my bad behavior from the NACSAR neighbor. It's a nice big privacy fence and I thought about painting his side of it the colors of the gay rainbow.

Well, there's this thing called 'privacy' which certain folks like myself value quite a bit. Also, having a kid or two may make having a fence necessary, should they decide to crawl into the back alley or a pedophilliac garbage picker wants more than a discarded table to sell.

And of course I'm keeping an eye on them.

I'm really stoked when other peoples' dogs don't shit in the yard.

I like to hang out in the yard, sit in a chair when the sun is out, read, have folks over (hi Tall Chris!) to drink a beer, all while not slipping in dogshit.

Fences are great.

Crap with waffles. I think in general they're ugly - especially in the front of a house. I can see how they're necessary in the cases of dogs / shitty neighbors.
