So, I finally found an EQ3 on eBay and made the big purchase. Can someone who owns one or has experience with one tell me the proper way to zero it? Seems like there has been some confusion about how to do this. Sorry if this has been covered before.

you may find some helpful information here:

http://prodigy-pro.com/forum/viewtopic. ... 70bac2b672

some folks at the prodigy forum made pcb's and did a build of this circuit (or something very close to it)

schematic is here:

is the prodigy one based off a different model than yours? I noticed that the one in the Electrical equipment section has coarse and fine adjustments, are there other major differences?

there doesn't seem to be very much info about these eq's around. there is an eq3 and an eq3d, correct? are they radically different from each other?

I doubt it, but I haven't seen a real schematic of either, just that prodigy project schematic, which I don't think is exactly the same as what it's copying.

Hey, Greg,

I bought the same model you guys have. From what I understand, the outer knobs should be at 12 o'clock and the inner knobs at 6 for it to be flat. I haven't received it yet but wanted to know ahead of time. Is this true?

Thanks,
Tim

The "air" band should be set with the inner knob at 6 o'clock and the outer knob at minimum for "flat." You have it right for the other bands.

Incorrect
To sum up-
All non "Air" bands: larger knob (course) @ 12, smaller knob (fine) @ 6
For the "Air" band: larger knob fully counterclockwise, smaller knob @ 6

There is a illustration on the faceplate that shows you how to set the unit flat, in case you forget.
