1I hadn't seen this in a long time but caught it on tv the other day. As a pure Ken Russell visual orgy, not crap. William Hurt's first film role, screenplay by Paddy Chayefsky based on the writings of John C. Lily.

3It's sufficiently entertaining and NOT CRAP, I guess, but the more times I see it, the less I like it.
I don't think it's nearly as good as The Devils (or Lair of the White Worm, for that matter), as far as Ken Russell movies go.

The Devils is about 20 times more mental than any other film I can think of.
I have a lot of love for the Ken Russell, the person and director.

9I picked this up @FYE for like 5 bucks thinking it would be a fun blast from the past. I was completely wrong! Long, boring... William Hurt looking sweaty in stupid drug/dream sequences that run on and on like bad old music videos stuck on repeat.
