Both attempted to ditch their 'cred' and 'go pop' at some point but failed miserably, laughably. They are now both old, crinkled up hags, wearing far too few clothes, trying desperately to salvage what they can of their careers. At least Jewel is smart enough to be playing shitty pop country now that it's hot. Liz Phair seems to think someone out there actually considers her an 'artist' and is excited to hear what she's going to put out now that she's 'decided' to go back to being an indie rocker.
