I need one of two things to happen:
a)pedestrians who cross against the light or wander out into oncoming traffic in the middle of the street should be given tickets
or
b)I should be allowed to drive all over the fucking sidewalk whenever the fuck I want to

Take a drive through Chicago some time as well.
I am certainly guilty of jaywalking myself. But I don't do it in high traffic areas.
When in Madison WI, I am amazed at how orderly pedestrians are, waiting for the light and no jaywalking that I saw. It must be something in the water. I felt like such an outlaw when I crossed against the light, or walked across the street in the middle of a block.

Come for a drive down High St. in Columbus OH, where pedestrians damn near walk into the side of moving cars. They'll go as far as they can into the street until traffic prohibits further movement; it IS pretty much human Frogger.

chicago is where i have had the most goddamn problems with these fucks.
if I were to run red lights and drive across the sidewalk whenever i felt it was "clear" I'd be in jial yet pedestrians do it thousands of times a second and nobodys doing any time

If you get hit by a pedestrian, the potential for splattered brains is pretty much nil.

I am pretty sure there is no such thing as gaywalking in california. I think the law states at any time, any person can cross a street and has all right aways at all times.
