I m in love with the Fall

1
I think of everything in my life in the context of the Fall. At work I listen to the Fall all day. Then I get home and listen to the Fall on my good headphones.

It's totally unhealthy. Hundreds of amazing bands in my collection and I listen to nothing but the Fall. Help? I remember when this happened with Flipper and Sonic Youth. I didn't think it would ever happen again. And I know if I let it drag on I won't be able to listen to the Fall anymore.

Is this the sort of thing that only happens to young people? Do people still fall in love with bands when they're older?

I have always done this for as long as I have lived to listen to music.

this happens to me all the time, right now I am in love with Van Morrison and Boards of Canada. I am not a young man... I went through a Fall phase twice, once at 22 and once at 27, months of listening to nothing but the Fall... they are a great band... I might suggest some Lungfish, as Lungfish often follow a Fall phase for me...

I go through phases too. Fucking hell yes on the Fall.

I second the brilliance of Lungfish for binging. I have a playlist on my iPod which is every album back to back in order. If that was all I could listen to every day I could probably stand it. Years later, I still find new shit in there. Their discography is like a desert. It's eternal and vast but the sands shift constantly.

both bands build on beautiful repeation... also you should pick Con Art by Smart Went Crazy, as that is what follows Lungfish... lets all get on the same cycle like chicks that live together with there periods, but with music...
