There's a big Jim Henson exhibit at the Smithsonian right now. It starts making its way across the nation later this year.

There is a REALLY good book which has all of Henson's early sketches and designs of the muppets from his old school jotters and such. I don't recall what it was called but i will check later. It really is an excellent book.

Extra bonus points for 'Sweetums'.

I really liked his recording studio too.

If you were a young'un during the golden era of the Muppets and say Crap, either you spent your time skinning domestic animals live, or you were such a tragically hip child you had a Klaus Nomi lunchbox.

Kermit and Ernie are not the same with fake voices.

I saw the Dark Crystal again the other day. That movie still looks incredible. There's nothing that's really comparable to Henson's work.

I'll be disappointed, but not surprised if the new Dark Crystal movie doesn't hold up.

Untouchable.
