I feel like one-upping Faiz and taking a malaria dump on my monitor while that plays.
Those kids were not even alive when The Breakfast Club came out.
Hell, the girl in the Nirvana shirt is probably younger than In Utero.

Come on. We're adults now. Surely we can now admit that The Breakfast Club was a complete piece of shit.

So then a tribute commercial would be an even completer piece of shit.

I don't watch TV aside from CBS on Sunday morning; not really the target demographic for this one. So when I saw it during the previews when I saw The Dark Knight I seriously thought that they were remaking the movie until the JC Penny logo came up.
Either way, CRAP.

I saw this on TV for the first time last night. As I watched I became filled with rage and anger. I'm not sure why. I'm better now, though.

My initial reaction was "obviously crap, who would vote otherwise, really?" But it's The Breakfast Club. Do I actually give a shit? As it turns out, I don't. It was fluff when I lapped it up as a 6th grader--hardly a sacred cow.
I do think the updated versions of the characters are hilarious. The "bad kid" character looks just like the preppy guy, but we know he's the Judd Nelson character because he puts his feet up on the table. Even though they got the set down pretty well, it just feels like a Target ad.

Those are some damn ugly clothes. Probably even worse than what was worn in the original.
CRAP, based upon showcasing terrible fashion.

Does Jacque Penay sell Nirvana shirts?
