This is my second favorite song of all time. I sing along really loudly when i hear it.

Apparently Death Cab for Cutie and Superdrag have covered it, but fuck them. It's all about the noisy-as-fuck version on Smash Your Head..., then the Superchunk cover, then the acoustic original.

Which is your favorite?

Lee Ralando from Sonic Youth also covered, acoutic style, his cover is not bad...

Brand New Love (electric version) is a song that always appears on mixes I make or in my ipod for driving.

I vaguely remember the Superchunk version and that says something I guess. I've never heard any of the other versions

love this song...i've only ever heard it on the Sebadoh Vs. Helmet album...that entire album is fantastic...P. Moon is my favorite...

How about the come-on-gimme-a-break-fuck-this-song-already-live-accapella version? I like that one too.

The acoustic version off 'Freed Weed'. So good!

I do not know this song you speak of. So, I started speed reading the first post to try and figure out who wrote it, what it sounds like....etc... I could not make it past these two key phrases. Crap.

i know nobody prefers the acoustic version but me!

I haven't heard anything but the original and the Superchunk cover...both are good, it's a strong tune.

More people should cover Vampire.

I love the original acoustic version, but I gotta go with the Superchunk cover. A finer piece of power pop you will not find.
