I just voted. Didn't wait in line. All-in-all a painless experience. The election officials in my precinct said that 40% of registered voters in that precinct had already voted (this was at 11:00AM).
In Chicago we have this un-ending ballot wherein you can vote yes or no to retain certain judges -- a large number of them (50, 60?). Call me an uninformed lout, but not knowing anything about these men and women, I didn't vote yay or nay for any of them. The election official said my other votes will still count, and that the vote-card verification computer would spit my ballot out, and then I would be able to over-ride it and make the vote stick. OK. But the computer just accepted my card, said it was all in order -- with about 50 potential options not punched.
I am only slightly concerned about this, until further notice.

I also voted electronically and was not entirely comfortable with the experience.

I had the same experience. I skipped the yes or no to the judges, except for McDunna who I voted no for cuz she's got some anti-gay ideals. The machine accepted the card without overriding.
In the past I've not voted for everyone and had the machine spit the card back out and had to override...... but in those I had more that I didn't vote for..... So I'm pretty sure that the green-judges-yes-no section was 'optional'.

Yes, that green section was prolly 'optional'.
However! I also did not vote for the Water Reclamation position. Or did I? Well, it was such a heated race, and it got real ugly, and I was just kind of turned off by the whole thing.

I think that depending on the results of this election, we should try to start a petition going around the country that let's the users of the Electrical Audio Forum be the acting electoral college for the next election. So far it's a landslide victory on here for the right man.
