Good God.
I am afeared for the safety of others.
The thought that a person's last waking view being a haggard David Lee Roth as the EKG machine slowly blips to the theme of Jump and then dying is almost too much to bear.

As Crazy From the Heat, Mr. Roth's autobiography, is one of my favorite books, I'll say that I would trust Mr. Roth with my life and well-being without question. Assuming he's not smoking grass on the job, of course.
But the world would be better served it DLR would become some sort of U.N. Goodwill Ambassador, bridging the gap between the haves/have-nots and the Eastern/Western world.
Seriously. Check out Crazy From the Heat if you've not done so. This guy spent his time (when not touring and getting laid non-stop), travelling to exotic locales and mingling with the unwashed masses (like, just him and a buddy -- not in some kind of colonial dandy on holiday kind of way). He says in the book his main goal in life is to break bread with all the Peoples of the Earth. Also: always travel during the monsoon season, when the guide books tell you not to go -- that way you can break bread with the people in an unmediated way.
Enough.
Modern arena rock doesn't present us with an equivalent mind as that of the great David Lee Roth.

I read about this on Yahoo or some other site a few months ago. Apparently, he was the only member of his family to not go into the medical field. Better late than never, I guess.
